Qedma, a leader in quantum error mitigation, has signed an agreement with IBM to provide its unique QESEM (Quantum Error Suppression and Error Mitigation) software to IBM’s premium customers. Announced on September 16 in Tel Aviv, QESEM will be integrated into IBM’s Qiskit Functions, enabling quantum developers, data scientists, and computational scientists to interact with quantum computers as easily as with classical systems.
This partnership focuses on addressing quantum errors caused by noise in quantum operations, a major obstacle to achieving Quantum Advantage, where quantum computers surpass classical computers in practical tasks. QESEM allows quantum algorithms to run more efficiently and accurately on existing quantum processing units (QPUs) without the need for large qubit overheads.
IBM’s decision to include QESEM highlights the importance of error mitigation in advancing quantum computing. This collaboration provides IBM’s global clients access to advanced quantum tools, giving them a competitive edge in their industries.
Qedma’s CEO, Asif Sinay, emphasized that QESEM fundamentally enhances quantum devices’ computational capabilities, marking a significant step in the development of quantum technology. The agreement with IBM also expands Qedma’s reach, enabling more organizations to benefit from its cutting-edge quantum error mitigation solutions.
