Tremendous progress in qubit design and calibration protocols has been driving improvements in the fidelity of logical quantum gates. Calibration schemes rely heavily on empirical information about the dynamics of the qubits and the noise sources affecting them. If only partial information is used in the calibration process, the resulting calibrated gate might be sub-optimal.
Qedma’s automatic gate optimizer utilizes the information supplied by our proprietary multi-qubit characterization software, which provides an intimate look at the inner working of the quantum computer. Via an iterative process, our optimizer finds control pulses which realize logical gates with significantly improved fidelity, reaching strong suppression of coherent errors and reducing the level of irreversible errors.
